yum yum

Tonight we decided to go get some yogurt at Yogurt Land. YUM-O. Its located in a place called Mihama American Village. American Village is fashioned after California. They have a few American fast food places, as well as a english speaking movie theater, yummy sushi places, cute little shops, and a short walk to the ocean.

Super cute

We took a trip to Jusco today, mainly because it was rainy, but I wanted Lex to do something out of the house. On the way out she got the cutest little doughnuts. They look big in the picture, but they really are about the size of a half dollar. I made sure to capture them on film before Lexi devoured them.... What do you guys think?

Okinawan doughnut that cute little fork comes with them

Not bad for 100 Yen..Forgot to get pics of Lexi eating them..BOO!

New direction for the blog

As we near the end of our Okinawa tour, I decided the best way to document everything would be to turn my blog into a account of our life here. I want to document the food, friends, fun and adventures we have here. I will try to post pictures as much as I can, but I really want to document EVERYTHING! So we can look back and remember our last year-ish here before we move on to new Adventures wherever the USMC sends us.

Stay tuned, Our countdown starts now!

The world of blogs welcomes thee

I have finally decided to give blogs a chance. I believe this is a great way to share my thoughts, and experinces with the awaiting masses--OR just fill people in while at the same time combateing the bordem I tend to feel. So here goes, I guess the best way to start this thing, is to tell yall who I am :-)
I am a 22 year old mother. I never imagined I would have a child, I was never one to get excited over babies, but on July 4, 2007, when the test said hey..your pregnant, I was excited, and scared to death at the same time! But a mere 9 months later, give or take a day or 2, Alexia Jean Burr made her way into the world, weighing in at 8 pounds 5 ounces. and my life was forever changed, for the better, in every aspect! But on the same token, it was a one time change, as in....no more babies for me!!

I am married to a wonderful guy. He is a U.S. Marine. I also never saw myself as the type to get married, wanting to be a indpendant woman, but something about those blue eyes, made me fall in love. While we are far from perfect, as most people are, I love him, and the more he frustrates me, the more I know I couldnt live with out him.

So this whole blog wont be me, just telling who makes my life great, I want it to be a journy of how I came to be me, and where I am going, as well as some kick butt experinces along the way. So if your ready, strap yourself in, I dont know where we are headed, but its sure to be a intresting ride.

So I hope I dont suck at this thing, and people actully wanna hear what I have to say.

Till next time folks,

Cyle Burr
